Comments

Sorbitol is used in high concentration for cell disruption. The stabilizing buffer for enzymatic lysis of yeast contains 1 M Sorbitol (1). Concentrations of 300 mM and 400 mM, respectively, are used for the extraction of chloroplasts and thylacoids, respectively (2).
